About The Criterion Theatre

Known as the ‘hidden treasure’ of London’s West End, the Criterion theatre is just that. Tucked away underground on the world-famous Piccadilly Circus, it would be impossible to find if it weren’t for the beautiful signage that points audiences in the right direction. The Criterion is located almost entirely below surface level, but a cold, concrete bunker it is not! The décor wouldn’t feel out of place in one of London’s most luxurious hotels and its incredibly central location always proves a popular spot with tourists and locals alike.

Great grown up entertainment
Pros: Brilliant witty script. Up to date, naughty in places and always great entertainment. Lead actors were all strong singers who interpreted their roles very well with expertise and humour. Cons: Very camp which may not be everyone’s choice but always dealt with in great humour.
