Two Strangers (carry a cake across New York)

A new British musical from writers Jim Barne and Kit Buchan, Two Strangers is directed by Tim Jackson. Jim Barne is a composer and orchestrator, half of musical theatre writing duo Buchan and Barne. Kit Buchan is a writer, lyricist and poet. Together they create fabulous stories that wow audiences, and this one stars two of the finest young actors of our times. Originally produced by the Royal & Derngate Northampton and New Wolsey Ipswich with a different name: The Season, the show was developed through the Stiles and Drewe MTI Mentorship Award, and it’s on at the West End’s Criterion Theatre from 4th April to 14th July 2024.

Dujonna Gift acts, sings and dances, making an exceptional job of roles in household-name, smash hit shows including Cameron Mackintosh's multi Tony and Olivier winning musical Hamilton at the Victoria Palace Theatre. Sam Tutty is probably best known for his TV role in Hollyoaks and his Olivier-winning role in the musical Dear Evan Hansen. At the tender age of 22 he won the 2020 Olivier for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical, one of the youngest winners ever. Together they create West End magic. Don’t miss it.

Male lead a real talent
Music very forgettable but the actors were strong and winning, and we laughed and enjoyed.

Flipping outstanding
Wow what an amazing two hander show, we laughed (a lot) I cried and was totally absorbed by the story. The music was great, the singing was outstanding and when Sam Tutty cried in one scene, I blubbered too! Best thing we have seen in ages - don’t miss it
